Thread: Questions on server virtualization

i have old low power laptop want repurpose paperweight useful.
want several things it, want set subversion repository personal code projects, want set webserver, possibly seedbox, , media center.

because these tasks rather diverse, think i'm going need setup virtualization. reasonable? best way it? virtualbox capable of running more 1 vm @ time, , being administrated command line?

thing low powered machine, how low power ?

, if low power, dont want installing os, vitrualisation software on it, guest vm running media centre services, subversion etc

or mean rather use laptop, use vm instead ?

andf virtual box extemely capable....i run 4gb ram host system , have no problems running 3 or 4 vm's @ same time (vista, xp, backtrack etc etc) not happens of course.

can run 2 or 3 , spin them on desktop cube

imo virtual box better vmware, less resource intensive have found anyways
