Thread: Select and install software error at installation

hello everyone!

i'm trying install ubuntu studio 11.04 on eeepc laptop, have problem @ select , install software step: can't achieved correctly , have go on next step.

then, when boot computer, after choosing right os in grub menu, have black screen nothing happens. have access terminal mode, not gui; seems normal because nothing kernel has been installed due error, isn't it?

if try install ubuntu studio packages manually apt-get, receive error message like: "following packages have unsatisfied dependencies," list of packages , "e:defective packages."

wrong? or there problem ubuntu studio packages?

so terminal, run:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get install ubuntustudio-desktop

sudo dpkg --configure -a

note: check installed graphic driver synaptic

sudo synaptic

synaptic opened, check repo tab , select "main server", different repos need checked packages

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
