Thread: Simple script in dapper

looking writing simple script on dapper server.
want script play short 5 second wmv sound file.
can tell program run script.

player can or should use
, how can set permissions on file , script program has access .
total newb here .

dapper has reached end of life, repositories taken offline , can't install new. see wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of...rsion_timeline

if upgrade server, can install mpg123:

code:

sudo apt-get install vorbis-tools mpg123

than use

code:

ogg123 <filename>

to play ogg file or

code:

 mpg123 <filename>

to play mp3 file
