Buttons as text

i using buttons plain text "none" in background bookmark other pages within doc. in button & forms field, click "appearance: rollover", go swatches change color of text, allows me change colors in text box background, not text itself. correct, text color cannot change upon rollover?

you can select text frame withthe text tool , maintain different colors different states.

it seems doing correct way selecting state in panel , changing text color. can elaborate?
