Final Cut Pro convert ... wow, CS6 is impressive!

just wanted thank hard work of folks @ adobe.  converted on macpro final cut studio 7 , final cut pro x adobe premiere pro cs6 suite on windows 7 based computer.  little tentative because have investment of 3rd party tools , hardware mac.  fortunately i'm not missing them as thought ... cs6 good. 

 

the transition has been easy , performance advantage of cs6 amazing.  i'm comparing similar projects on macpro 12 core @ 2.4 ghz (fcpx) vs. windows 7 - 6 core @ 4.8ghz cuda (nvidia card) , rendering 5x faster cs6 6 cores vs. macpro's 12 cores.

 

audition integration fantastic, easy drop bad channel in stereo track , move channel (in case left) on , apply echo/delay simulated stereo.  or create music of own background titles , credits.

 

i able write , preview directly external usb 3.0 3tb hard drive without issues @ all!!  wasn't realistic option on macpro (no thunderbolt , no usb 3.0) -- huge time saver!

 

i'll miss logic pro 9, wasn't integrated fcpx anyway , i'm finding audition pretty cover needed in logic pro 9.

 

amazing suite of product ladies , gents, bravo!!!

 

p.s.  oh yeah, photoshop extended integration great nice new features around animation/3d/video!!  had no worries moving cinema 4d r12 on windows side.

well have never had mac, share enthusiasm regarding speed , integration whole suite - works great :)

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
