Help with guild/club site (mini community [friends]) - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i'm complete noob joomla , know little of web design. know basics of programming since did 2 years of comp-sci bachelors. so, know it's matter of learning different languages (xtml, css, php, etc.), i'm not interested in becoming full fledged web designer.

all wanna build guild site group of friends. in sense, it's kind of mini community site. have looked around , found people talking diverse plugins, want , more, not free or cheap. so, started looking in forum. best starting point found should envision want site be, , reduce scope essentials. rest can added go enhance user experience, in case friends' , mine.

i'm hoping as can extensions, templates, plugins, etc. in order avoid coding as possible. don't mind low cost add-ons or giving out donations devs. after all, did spend time on software, fun , less have spend better. anyways there's tons of extensions out there, hoping guys shed light in terms of ones more suited our needs.

• events/activities calendar
• news (read: game news [events , updates] alliance news) feed
• forum
• player profiles
• alliance guidelines
• teamspeak info

which followed in importance these two:

• alliance info
• streaming of news feed fb group page

the whole list of things want essential stuff don't need on google doc. comments enabled on document link.

been browsing extensions directory (btw advanced search nice), , came few extensions think should work need.

• icagenda - events/activities calendar
• kunena - forum
• community builder - custom profiles

i have no idea yo use news feed, because don't know different categories mean. i'll looking them little little. once again, many people can bring me. have beautiful day , god bless
