Photoshop CS6 Brush Lag
i've tried several fixes including disabling cl, changing cache settings, , reducing drawing mode adavanced basic. nothing working.

another option suggested disabled gl advanced interface did not have open gl option visible in same location guide.
i did not have brush lag until started using air brush. did increase canvas size , make file larger lag did not happen until after switched brush types. possible did not notice lag until switched.
how big canvas (in pixels horizontally x vertically)?
what mode , data depth (e.g., rgb, cmyk, grayscale; 8 bits/channel, 16 bits, etc.)?
how big brush in pixels?
what brush selected?
you mentioned airbrush option enabled. other settings?
ideally, screenshot showing whole desktop environment when you're brushing helpful.
can quantify lag? in, "i click in upper-left corner of image, shift-click in lower-right corner, , takes brush x.y seconds stroke across image." accurate can; 0.5 second lag way different 5 second lag.
be aware large brushes have manipulate huge number of pixels , can slow things down.
