Regarding inheritance in adobe day cq

hi,

i new adobe cq...

 

i came across inheritance in documentation....i did not understand difference between disable inheritance , cancel inheritance....

 

i applied disable inheritance child pages still inherited parent page images put in inherited paragraphs.....

 

 

could please me...

  beleive understanding correct & agree name slight confusing difference not clear reading label descriptions of checkbox clear configuration.  documentation @ [1].

 

just demonstrate let use geometrixx example. in author instance

*    go http://<host>:<port>/content/geometrixx/en/products/triangle.html

*    on right side see iparasys, select "cancel inheritance" & save.

*    go http://<host>:<port>/content/geometrixx/en/products/triangle/overview.html

*    see not inherited & if in edit mode see "parent canceled inheritance"

for second case

*    go http://<host>:<port>/content/geometrixx/en/products/square.html

*    in iparasys select "disable inheritance" & save.

*    in edit mode see "inheritance disabled" & in preview mode not inherited parent page.
