Small edits to an existing flash template
hello all,
this first time on adobe forums.
i brought here because purchased flash template site. template nice, aside replacing data default data through xml file, need insert text around top , bottom of main page. in fact, there 1 page consists of gallery. entire template flash gallery.
before go on, want start saying have absolutely no knowledge of flash. have knowledge of html , css only, don't know if in i'm trying accomplish here.
anyway, spent 4 hours trying add text using flash professional top of main.fla's page. file way happens have black background. initially, hit text tool, typed word , dragged spot near top of page. tested video , found not run. googled issue , found out dealing "textfield" apparently finicky thing , requires me insert code in ".as" files came template.
after wasting of time on that, went flash , realized there option "classic text". typed word again , dragged random position on top , found template started without hiccup , word did display. of course easy. realized upon launching html file in given browser, text in wrong place. not mention move if maximized/restored window. park right behind logo! figured far , thought i'd turn guys words of wisdom.
so how absolutely position text place on screen? if that, apply animation text learned online.
i appreciate help!
almost everything can done, but depend on how the template was made to know that modifications must made
