Thread: ATI HDMI output - cut off on all sides

hey,

ubuntu 10.10

i'm using ati mobility radeon 3400 trying multi-display desktop thing. problem tv cutting off picture on 4 sides. resolution set 1600x900 on laptop , 1360 x 768 (preferred) dtv. i'm connecting via hdmi , appears in ccc recognized way.

read post here on forums talked overscanning being issue..i see option dtv hdmi monitor, greyed out. because using preferred resolution? auto-magically configured way.

suggestions on how can access overscan slider and/or fix issue?

thanks!

the problem might need open ccc root. in terminal enter:
code:
gksudo amdcccle
then overscan settings should available.
