Thread: GNOME 3 security

hi guys,

not wrong location thread, nor overly stupid question i've been wondering thing heard gnome 3.

gnome 3 supposed java script right? maybe hold on windows days of being scared of viruses around every corner, pose kind of security risk system? know there few cross platform attacks use java or flash.

yes know difficult malware run on linux os due permissions. i'm paranoid , when hear ui, linux 1 java start wonder.

in short there reason concerned running gnome 3 , being exposed attacks.

thank in advance.

javascript in gnome-shell has little javascript on internet.

on internet, javascript part of web-page. when visit web-page, browser executes javascript on machine. if javascript malicious, browser supposed catch it, may fail.

also, javascript different java or flash. common attacks java , flash, of require off internet.

gnome-shell doesn't connect internet, code stays on machine. using javascript in gnome-shell no more secure or unsecure using c++ or other language.
