Thread: Help with directories' group synchronization


hello,

have changed mistake group of files , directories matching pattern /* , /*/* 'root'.

not able log in after screensaver locks screen (logging in @ system startup works fine) , assume not bad thing happened horrible mistake i've made.

have computer running same ubuntu version (11.04) , tried synchronize group permissions of directories using unison, however, has difficult interface , i'm not able tell not want synchronize subdirectories, previous 2 levels (/* , /*/*).. command have used was:

sudo unison -group -ignore "path */*" / ssh://root@192.168.1.2/../

please me synchronizing group permissions of /* , /*/* files back?
