Thread: Ubuntu Live 8.04

i got intel d915gux motherboard pc. uses pata hdd , optical drive. have 2 gb of memory.

click on install live without changes computer.

opened command prompt. typed mkdir scrds_l. typed cd scrds_l.

opened computer see if created directory. did.

minimized windows. click on firefox. optical drive light flashing , mouse icon looping. wait , wait , wait...too time goes , try exit , ubuntu won't let me.

option turn power off pc. , restart pc.

here's problem: installing ubuntu live has made change pc. change systems bios. optical drive no longer recognized boot priority.

being optical no longer recognized cannot live install again.

going have restore bios in order fix problem.

installing ubuntu live says won't make changes pc; so, why did lie , make changes pc?

a few things:

1) try live system; not install it.

2) 8.04 on 3 years , 6 releases old. quite depreciated.

3) can't change bios settings. if boot priority changed, either changed it, or have hardware failure.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
