Totally fed up with how UNITS has been messed up for YEARS

after these years illustrator , photoshop has been around (something 25 years!!), why still put units malfunctions???????

 

in illustrator units settings screw every time new file opened different units. if i'm in 1 file while units set inches, , open file units set centimeters, new file comes units in inches. further, if go preferences check, preferences says centimeters. have set units inches, close preferences, open preferences again , reset centimeters. , original file shows centimeters. , still have on , on time!!!!

 

why?????

 

why isn't units per file parameter?????????

why hasn't ever been fixed after these years??????????

 

now units bug driving me crazy in photoshop.

i work in inches time.

i'm loading jpgs , changing image size time.

usually image size palette shows resolution in pixels/inch.

now, reasons unknown, shows pixels/cm , can't stay in pixels/inch.

i've changed several times.

i've changed units in preferences , forth cm inches several times.

i've done both , restarted photoshop several times.

no matter do, image size shows pixels/cm.

 

someone please tell me how can set permanently!!!!!!

 

currently in illustrator 15.1 / photoshop 12.1 / cs5.5

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
