Viability of jupgrade test site? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

we going through process of upgrading our website joomla 1.5.26 joomla 2.5. have gone through steps jupgrade , went smoothly far.

what wondering if can testing of new templates, plugins, etc. on jupgrade site (in our case www.mscsa.org/jupgrade)? dumb idea? have test site local site working on computer, thinking if make changes on www.mscsa.org/jupgrade share them committee helping , final conversion rather easily.

to end, have tried installing extensions on backend of site , keep getting error message:

not acceptable
an appropriate representation of requested resource /jupgrade/administrator/index.php not found on server.
additionally, 404 not found error encountered while trying use errordocument handle request.

i tried changing location tmp file looking "/home/xxxxxx/public_html/jupgrade/public_html/tmp" didn't seem help.

any solutions above error message? or bad idea , should stick local copy of test site?

i think went somewhere wrong in stage
"/home/xxxxxx/public_html/jupgrade/public_html/tmp". shouldn't give this. try changing location /home/xxxxxx/public_html/jupgrade/tmp or ./tmp.

also follow log. /home/xxxxxx/public_html/jupgrade/log or ./log

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
