When exporting a .wmv in After Effects 5 the export adds additional black/Blank frames at the end

we experiencing issue or client provides video .wmv video, exported after effects 5 , adds second of data less video.

 

what mean data less video renders out wmv, 30fps, 24 bitrates (no audio) 7 seconds long within after effects. moment rendered/exported, 8 seconds , shows 8 seconds in program import to. last second empty, there no frames, not black frames, , when preview video in program, see scrub bar, drop 1 second before actual end of timeline.

 

i opened video in camtasia, , can see @ end, shows in timeline (video editor), there no actual video.

 

i import video in company’s software, , move frame scrubber @ end, says 'unable retrieve requested video frame.'. if import our software, sees no frames second, , automatically loops , adds first second of video end.

 

typically import uncompressed avis, know issue is.

 

windows 7 enterprise
64bit os
after effects 5

frankly, i'm not big fan of wmv files.  convert them lossless avi before using them in ae.

 

are have no frame rate mismatches occurring?

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
