Installing ColdFusion on port 80

i using mac lion, , use tomcat, use port 80, possible? have looked on web, not find answer.

i think may hard port 80 using apache. great!

thanks,

johnny

you can it. it's quite easy.  setting in server.xml.  search ont file 8080 , replace 80. should in 1 spot.

you will, of course, need 1 of following:

- disable apache (turn off web sharing)

- move apache different port (i'm not sure hwo doen on lion, sorry)

one other option serve tomcat/cf sites through apache. considerably more involved, may offer additional benefits (url rewriting, etc).

the cf10 installer apache config you, don't know, have not tried yet. may not involved @ all. if planning use cf9 or cf8 more involved, there are  sites out there such instructions. may need use linux instruction , modify them mac. pretty similar.

good luck

jason
