My text is being repelled
i’m new in-design, know photoshop reasonably well. use id produce club newsletter comprising text , photos. first couple went ok, have problem.
whenever draw column or place photo, there invisible ‘margin’ around within can’t place anything. in terms of text real problem can’t park small text box beneath column indicate continuation. photos major problem.
i cannot draw text frame on top of photo using text tool. if use other frame tool, try enter text within frame, red plus sign overflow symbol @ edge of box, , can enter text when expand frame beyond photo , beyond invisible ‘margin’ seems apply around it.
i’ve ensured i’ve not got objects set wrap text around them. tried putting photo caption on different layer.
i guess i’ve inadvertently invoked causes small uninhabitable area appear around frames, can’t find in ‘help’ tells me i’ve done. i’d appreciate if can tell me, or @ least suggest workaround allow me caption photos.
i'm using latest id version adobe cloud

are sure that? because symptoms describe sound have! select 1 of objects , check what's selected in text wrap panel.
you can set "ignore text wrap" in text frame options caption frame, better have no text wrap except explicitly set yourself.
it's possibly selected text wrap setting without object selected, , set default objects. can reset 'normal' same way.
it's neat feature, convenient .. except when accident.
