Thread: 3 monitor problem ... CCC issue?

i have radeon hd5670 3 monitors, , life of me can't 3 turn on @ same time. seem able 2 on, however.

when use ccc (catalyst control center) set 3 of them, either says "you must restart" or "insufficient video memory", apparently depending on alignment of moon. however, has 512mb of memory i'm assuming more enough run 3 monitors @ 1600 x 900.

upon restart, @ log-in screen ubuntu reports "cannot change monitor settings, error crtc 148". googled , couldn't find crtc 148, plenty of other crtc errors.


using ubuntu monitor preference page, able turn 3 on, when click 'apply', , monitors shut off in order use new settings, 1 of them randomly disabled.


before asks, monitor configuration on card is:

1 dvi
1 hdmi
1 dp w/ dp-to-dvi converter

i'm assuming dp converter because monitor seems working whenever hdmi monitor not on. i've read everywhere other connections don't matter long @ least 1 monitor runs dp.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
