Thread: GNOME Power Manager not installed correctly. How to fix?


i downloaded , installed ubuntu 11.04 , worked right. wanted use windows boot launcher instead of 1 came ubuntu. set ubuntu 1 off launch windows instead , going launch ubuntu using easybcd. didn't work. had re-install ubuntu. uninstalled other 1 , had windows working right , did installation again. time when launched ubuntu message came up.

"there problem configuration server.
(/usr/libgconf2-4/gcon-sanity-check-2 exited status 256)"

have looked @ how fix , have not figured out how to. can please me? used ubuntu 2 years ago , want use again.

i forgot put takes me screen says "gnome power manager not installed correctly" in top right corner of screen , asks me log in when message comes again.
