Thread: How to set up password protection for specific applications?
hi, there way make password key-ring list of specific applications, specifically; applications relating preferences. i'm running ubuntu 11.04, i'm user, disabled login password requirements because annoying me , i'm cool using of applications long aren't capable of changing system in way. of applications on list include terminal, network connections preferences, keyboard preferences. wan't prompted password before opening these programs.

each program (i'm using terminal example):
append "gksu " without quotes "exec" line. prompt password now, run root -- might not work network preferences , other apps. maybe set guest account, , enable auto screen locking?code:cp /usr/share/applications/gnome-terminal.desktop ~/.local/applications/ gedit ~/.local/applications/gnome-terminal.desktop
