Thread: KDE control center from command line
i updgraded natty, , found myself needing change few kde settings.
how kde's control center if i'm using gnome? i'm talking window nice icons, or whatever when open k menu , click "settings". used able type "kcontrol", broke when ubuntu switched kde4.
informed of "kcmshell4", there 90 modules, , being visual person, prefer have nice icons me remember section visit, , don't want try 5 commands find i'm looking for.
if answer start instance of "kicker" , click on "k menu", i'll that, surprised if there no way open want command line without needing whole kicker , menu around.
the new kconfig system settings, sort of misnomer practically settings therein pertain kde. has own systemsettings package.
if need change specific config value (say, in script), use kwriteconfig.
