Thread: lenovo b560/ubuntu11.04/no wifi: wifi switch won't react to rfkill

hey! i'm absolute beginner in ubuntu; i've bought lenovo b560 (x64) windows 7 installed, , i'm trying ubuntu 11.04 working can erase windows good; have dual boot 2 oss.
thing on ubuntu can't connect wireless network (on windows works fine); i've got "sticky" broadcom 4313 card, don't think that's problem (you'll tell me, hope); there's physical switch led on, network manager acts if off ("wifi disconnected switch); i've tried "rfkill unblock all" it's "hard blocked" , won't unblock.. on top of system crashed few times already, freezed , had turn off because nothing else worked..
please me, using ubuntu on previous pc, happy of being away windows, , don't want go back..
i've added of things recommended in newbies how post, if there's else need please tell me how , i'll post it, ok?

code:

 blacklist acer_wmi

to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

seems proprietary broadcom driver doesn't play nicely acer_wmi module.
