Thread: recover disk space in full "/" root partition


i have ubuntu 10.10 installed in separate "/" , "/home" partitions (plus other partitions vista , ntfs shared data in dual boot configuration).

allocated 10 gb "/" partition it's filling up.

i'm seeing warning messages .. space available filling ..

"the volume filesystem root has 78.8 mb space remaining"

snapshots of disk usage disk utility , gparted attached.

i've got link read ..

folders in root partition should start purge? logs, cache etc.

download "bleachbit" software center. first use root, user. follow recommended popups. may buy gig...
