Thread: risk with automount as a root user

hi,
want know risk auto mounting flash drive root user,
if example there usb flash drive inserted system , login root unknowingly, , flash drive contains autorun script calls new script can place viruses in system, since in root not prompt password , if script fast enough not see executing.
hypothetical situation, new ubuntu, can tell me if kind of thing possible

please recommend
ltoso

you cannot 'accidentally' log in root user in ubuntu. root account in ubuntu disabled - commands require root access done through either sudo or gksudo - depending on whether graphical access required or not.

since have use either sudo or gksudo, know have root access @ time , assume cautious.

in other flavours of linux - such fedora - root account not disabled, again, have log in root, again know root , more careful otherwise might be.

hope helps,
