i unable figure out how - content plugin - category of article can determine whether or not apply plugin. not difficult in j1.5 , before , wrote plugins based on being able this. id of article , category article part of part of article object , accessed.

i have found jrequest can provide article id not category id unless category part of request ... may not in blog view. can deal getting catid db long can reliably article id... i've read jrequest deprecated , replaced jinput.
would difficult give important attributes of article id , catid content plugins can work how did in j1.0, j1.5 ??
