Not Count Author Hits on own Article as well as Usergroups - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i'm pleased announce it's possible not count own hits when viewing article. see below mod details on this
so if create article called "cms" , view while logged in, adds no hits it. in addition this, can chose usergroup not count views. possible in joomla 3.0 , requires patch.
i attached zip file containing 3 files requires mod. here 3 directories need upload , replace original files. please backup these files.
administrator/language/en-gb/en-gb.com_content.ini
administrator/components/com_content/config.xml
components/com_content/views/article/view.html.php

just couple of notes add description:
the patch coded, joomla! 3.0, provide base possible future implementation in platform code, adding useful functionality core.
the patch should used test purposes replaces/adds original code base scripts not meant overridden individual templating. means changes or replacements of original scripts risk overwritten on platform updates.
in summary, proposal made on jux forum add tiny little useful change com_content core.
