Thread: |bug| unplug usb drive causes kernel panic


hello, topic says when unplug usb drive usb theres big chance cause kernel panic (when unmount , unplug 33% cause kernel panic, , when unplug - w/o unmounting chances 10-20%) think causes kernel panic - whole pc hangs - jsut capslock led blinking ( need power off / hold power button long (and reboot pc)) happens on 2 usb drives (dont have more drives test - believe same) os im running ubuntu 11.04 x86-64bit (upgraded 3-4 weeks ago ubuntu 10.10x86-64bit) machine have lenovo thinkpad r61 8918-dfg after hangs cant ssh machine - dont know how can debug it. hope ideas you. in advance post edit - forgot mention usb drives ntfs partitioned. edit post 2 : next thing forgot add is: bug new(ubuntu 11.04) mean working on ubuntu 10.10 - have usb drives plugged in im sure working,
