Thread: How can I expand the volume on which ubuntu is installed?


on laptop, there 160 gb hard drive, earlier in 3 volumes - around 52gb. 1 drive 1 on had installed windows, , other 2 data. out of 2, managed around 15 gb free space, on installed ubuntu 11.04. now, figured ubuntu, , need more space on volume.. there way of increasing volume on ubuntu installed without having format , reinstall ? i'm n00b linux/ubuntu, please me through !

boot live cd/usb , fire gparted
code:
gksu gparted
if it's not on live cd, install yourself
code:
sudo apt-get install gparted
