Thread: indicator-sound-service won't run in user account

i have user account on laptop not display sound-service icon in notification area applet (ubuntu 11.04). if try start /usr/lib/indicator-sound/indicator-sound-service manually, following error

code:
libindicator-warning **: no watchers, service timing out. ** (process:5612): debug: service shutdown !
in many months i've had account on box, , result of many minor mods i've made account, i've somehow bollixed in account setup interferes startup of service.

created new account on system, , sound service icon displays properly, know it's not system problem. both new, bare account , personal account in audio group.

work-around, have icon gnome-volume-control on top panel, works pretty well, i'd fix problem indicator-sound-service if point me solution.

same problem in "linux mint 11"
reinstall don't change situation.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
