Thread: login background / gdm theme has turned black

hi, all.

installed xubuntu natty, , gdm theme (xubuntu-gdm-theme) has somehow reverted ugly. background black instead of showing xubuntu-greybird.png, panel bar light gray, , shutdown button gray instead of red/orange power icon.

problem appeared while tweaking account settings, possibly when used users-admin tool, i'm not sure.

tried purging , reinstalling following packages:

gdm
xubuntu-gdm-theme
xubuntu-artwork
xubuntu-default-settings
xubuntu-desktop

...but didn't help.

comparison, i'm attaching screen shots of (broken) gdm screen , correct 1 virtual machine. (try ignore fact they're different screen resolutions.)

have ideas?
