Thread: Need help inserting a processor - Have questions

i managed pins pretty straightened out, think, thin fillet knife have. i'm not sure how perfect have (they're pretty though). wanted try putting in mother today there's few things i'm not sure about. i'm wondering is:

(1) see looks little piece of lint in there if close i'm starting wonder if isn't little jumper. can't quite tell or if it's supposed there. apart there four, spots, rectangular , small, can see plastic underneath. these part of how it's made. there's other thing. blowing on not dislodge , can't see enough see is. (i'm not blind wear glasses - lol).

(2) want sure insert in right direction. thought using 4 rectangular spots on bottom (compared ones see inside socket) me i'm not sure it's preferred method.

(3) there little bar next socket on mother. i'm assuming down (parallel mobo) locked - don't see how other way want certain.

(4) wonder if better power without heat sync on there long enough see installed , working correctly before putting them on. doing won't burn out in blink of eye? heat sync think killed me on pins yesterday. think nailed me when pulled off of there since processor not in socket when looked stuck bottom of heat synk. again, machine not power right before took out again - did wrong when inserted too.


appreciated. i've never done project before i'm not sure of details , want right time.

hopefully didn't zap cpu. fit in 1 way. not force it. can test without heat sink, test it. not run long can cook , more damage.
