Thread: Need help setting up a server

hi all,

dad asked me set server office, , here 2 days later confused hell. have bit of experience linux environment , using terminal beyond that, i'm green come!

server supposed (minimally) able backup half dozen windows laptops in office , handle printing jobs. setup tried far having wireless router connected dsl line, , machine running server attached router's lan. router doing dns/dhcp stuff. i've gotten out of server far being able open ssh connection putty on laptops , web browser display "it works" whenever type in host name.

guides i've seen tell me server should handle dns/dhcp stuff, need network card work way? i'm thinking server should directly connected dsl line , router should act bridge giving wireless access laptops. i'm running lot of problems , difficulties setting samba , backuppc i'm wondering if overall layout of network might cause?

advice appreciated, thanks.

i recommend installing solution make little easier on yourself.

using ebox (or possibly zentyal, ebox integrated ubuntu 10.04)

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
