Thread: vnc4server / Vino issues.

ok. beginning...

use vnc4server , used work great. after updated natty though, doesn't allow me drag , drop. have set tunnel through ssh using putty , realvnc viewer on windows laptop. way have done , has worked fine.

after searching around solution gave , decided go vino since it's standard in ubuntu anyways. has opened new issue me. won't connect @ using vino.

opened remote desktop preferences window , selected following settings.

sharing:
"allow other users view desktop" checked
"allow other users control desktop" checked

security:
"you must confirm each access machine" unchecked
"require user enter password:" unchecked (for now)
"configure network automatically accept connections" tried both checked , unchecked

says "your desktop reachable on local network. others can access computer using address localhost." fine because when i'm tunneling connect using localhost:5900 anyways.

when go using vnc4viewer localhost:5901 still connects fine. i've tried disabling vnc4server while attempting use vino. nothing has worked far.

basically, here's i'm looking for. don't mind sticking vnc4server if can me resolve drag , drop issue if can tell me i'm doing wrong vino config viable solution well.
