AME Bogs down with large file list

i regularly use ame convert large collections of video files aiff audio files.  cs55, drag'n'drop 100+ files ame, select-all, pick output format, , crank through them quickly.

with aem cs6, first thing noticed ui gets progressively slower , slower files added queue drag'n'drop. first few files start adding quickly, takes on second per file once past 50 or so.  also, scrolling through large list (i.e. 280+) chunky.

once have loaded files queue, can still select-all, , set output format relatively quickly.  @ point, actual conversion generate aiff files video clips runs faster took load list of files ame!

i tried using watch folder, when put same 283 files (about 3.5 gb) of video clips folder, ame sat , choked on spinning cursor 15 minutes before killed it.

a typical source clip quicktime file:

between 15-60mb

h.264 640x480

linear pcm - 2-channel, 48khz

in example slowed me down, working 283 similar mov files, total of 3.5gb of data.
