Color management issue from Photoshop > Acrobat
i'm having issue believe has been isolated acrobat x related color management, referred photoshop forum because more experts in color management tend read here. thread in acrobat forum several updates on tests here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4646650#4646650
the short version rgb image create in app (including photoshop, illustrator, , indesign, non-adobe app word, , acrobat's own pdf screen capture feature) displays in both acrobat x , adobe reader with dull colors, similar (if not identical) how rgb file full intensity colors (i.e. r255 or g255) looks when converted cmyk.
i've tried numerous settings in color management system, , have synchronized color settings via bridge across adobe cs6 apps. i've tried synchronizing both default north american general purpose 2, , (sometimes suggested) monitor color, using calibrated profile dell display os x's built-in tool. have tried various settings of preserving embedded profiles, ignoring them, assigning new color profile document, turning off color management completely, etc. no change in result.
i have multi-monitor setup (3 external dell displays connected macbook pro, 2 of them via usb video devices), i've tried making each display (including laptop's built-in display) primary monitor , can see color shift on each one, doesn't appear calibration issue.
this issue on mac @ office. have similar setup @ home (albeit macpro 1,1 vs. laptop) same dell monitors , cs6 software installation, , can take same document (whether it's indesign, illustrator, or photoshop), make pdf of it, , displays 100% accurate colors when viewed in acrobat x.
in addition tests mentioned in original thread, i've tried uninstalling , reinstalling both acrobat x , adobe reader.
i believe issue related acrobat, can repeat issue no other apps acrobat in workflow: if display full-intensity rgb image on screen, use acrobat x create pdf screen capture, resulting pdf shifts dull colors.
have thoroughly checked through acrobat's preferences, seems if there's setting somewhere along lines of "view pdfs in cmyk color gamut", no such setting exists. did complete uninstall of acrobat x well, imagine dump preferences, clean reinstall.
another interesting note: apple's preview app seems display pdf accurate rgb colors, know pdf has correct color definitions intact. same pdf opened in acrobat x or reader side-by-side displays dull colors.
any thoughts?

i wasn't able follow lengthy post, , color management chain complicated (for me) address here other acrobat reads tagged elements , converts colors monitor rgb (so must have stripped profiles in pdf, , acrobat cms applying or passing through wrong profile)
further, if don't want rely on profiles, safest bet (for screen viewing) convert srgb (but still include profile in case wants display or print document 'accurately'
here @ several critical color setting in export acrobat control: downsampling, compression, color conversions, destination, , tagging (click on image blowup):
ps:
these panels grabbed indesign export pdf process, photoshop should have similar options somewhere
