Creating a button within a movie clip for ipad

i'm trying create button within movie clip ipad app. (a next button slideshow, slideshow page movie clip.
this code tried. button=nextbutton, movie clip= artworkmovie. want button advance movie clip 1 frame.

 

 

nextbutton.addeventlistener(mouseevent.click, nextclickhandler);

 

 

                    function nextclickhandler(event:mouseevent):void

                    {

                              artworkmovie.nextframe();

}

 

this works fine stage, if have button "next" within movie "artworkmovie" error "line19 1120 access of undefined property nextbutton". (line19 "nextbutton.addeventlistener(mouseevent.click, nextclickhandler);") how can create path button? tried artworkmovie.nextbutton , didn't work.

 

sorry such basic question , help.

artworkmovie.nextbutton should work.  make sure have button name assigned in every keyframe within movieclip.
