  3. because it's museum kiosk, need lock out menus (we physically block home button of course) misc functions, , presentation reset home page after idle period.
  4. the app simple - swipe go next/prev image, zoom , pan if desired, index thumbnails or slider
  5. don't need submit app store - need put app on few ipads installation in show.

eric,

1,2 - can many different ways adobe's digital publishing system. html, msos, built-in navigation, custom thumbnail gallery pages, etc.

3 - ios 6 allow kiosk mode (http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/11/3078350/apple-ios-6-guided-access-parental-control).  "guided access" feature allow lock out parts of screen such menu areas (http://www.cultofmac.com/175642/heres-how-guided-access-works-in-ios-6-video/).  not sure having presentation reset after idle period.  having "start over" button redbox might workaround.  should able create mso (multi-state object) 2 states, 1 blank , 1 "start over" button, , set delay or interval timeout setting want.

4 - using pdf format or making images pan , zoom overlays , putting each image in own article accomplish of this.  content viewer app's built-in navigation features should sufficient getting around.

5 - can use adobe content viewer view folios free using account login.

a starting point learning dps documentation.  bob bringhurst's dps tips app helpful examples , how-to guides.
