Paths for a top shine?
i want create top shine rectangle in image. use pen tool start shape drawing left side of path, plan copy path, paste it, flip it, , join 2 parts together, fill white , lower opacity.
1. why path drawn pen bit pixelated?
2. after selecting both original path, , newly pasted one, select them both , join them via modify >combine paths>join, though not stay connected when click on individual sides?
3. there easier way create top shine type shape this?
thanks!
- looks pretty me. (be sure view @ 100% zoom.) said, steep , shallow angles tend more "stairstepped" 45-degree ones. might weakness in fireworks' rendering/anti-aliasing algorithms.
- not sure why 2 sides not stay connected if they've been joined composite path.
- you draw ellipse (or rounded rectangle) , rectangle of same width, or wider. position rectangle against top half of ellipse, , use subtract/punch, within combine paths options in properties inspector, create compound shape.
another strategy make copy of original rectangle , use mask shape (e.g., ellipse) being used top shine. place copied rectangle above ellipse, select them both , choose group mask.
