Reverse Type and Print Text as Black
made black box , on layer made type "white" choosing "paper". on screen looked correct.
then did preflight , chose "print text black" because thought text in rest of doc looked better choice.
problem: after printing, text in box came out black instead of white. should have done? using indesign cs5 on windows.
"print text black" nothing else printing text black. it's kind of hard think of else *could* mean. yes, looks same on screen, of course because print option, active when printing.
why make rest of document better if text *already* black? if make difference, suppose "better looking" text *not* black, , obvious remedy make so.
(that said: online states
text black select option print text created in indesign in black, unless has color none or paper or color value equals white. option useful when you’re creating content both print , pdf distribution. example, if hyperlinks blue in pdf version, print black on grayscale printer, rather in halftone patterns difficult read.
i wonder why idiot-proof clause "unless has color none or paper" did not apply you.)
