site is running very slow is it my web hosting company - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi, have site gets lot of traffic running slow. site http://www.in2town.co.uk , on dedicated server.

i managed hosting company called tmd hosting, ddedicated server have

intel atom 330 1mb l2 cache 1.6gh
$159/mo $189/month
500gbstorage
4gbram
10tbbandwidth

i have been told hosting company not offer managed hosting not great dedicated server , old. can confirm me.

the home page not bad when comes speed rest of site slow although home page can become slow.

i using k2 , finding is, content pages bringing around 120 requests while home page bringing 62 requests , loads faster.

can please advise me on , need do. need know if should change hosting company , why content pages bringing more request home page , why slower home page.

i hoping can me solve issue

compress images using loseless compression, not compression in adobe or paintshop pro example. www.smushit.com
combined javascripts 4, 1, mootools, 1, core, 1 being jquery, , other rest.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
