Thread: new to this, trying all day, please help!

ive been trying day install kubuntu says have 255mb (which dont, have 256mb) , want it, tried usb, said there no configuration file found, want replace windows xp, please help :/

replacing xp priority. should create swap partition on disk, add 256 mb of ram , installer.

data. these changes non-destructive, can screw , destroy data on disk.

boot livecd, open terminal:

sudo gparted

use partition manager shrink existing partition 1 gb.

take free space , create new swap partition /swap mount point. write changes disk. reboot livecd swap disk partition gets discovered. open terminal , run:

free

should like:

tgalati4@tpad-gloria7 ~ $ free
total used free shared buffers cached
mem: 1867260 1124452 742808 0 65016 489848
-/+ buffers/cache: 569588 1297672
swap: 2562356 0 2562356

if have swap can proceed installation.

when partitioner, use manual or advanced method , make smart decisions on how want set partition. if want wipe out xp entirely, can choose use entire disk , not disturb swap partition because in use.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
