Thread: Question: Update via CD

hi everyone,

have ubuntu jaunty jackalope running on home pc (dual boot win xp) , have received notification no longer supported , should upgrade 11.04. have slow , costly internet connection @ home , don't want download upgrade directly onto computer there.

possible download upgrade somewhere else , burn cd run in home computer? see can new install wondering if possible upgrade?

you can not upgrade jaunty natty in 1 go, don't think worth considering option you. if wnat ever consider upgrading using cd in future need download alternate install cd, far i'm aware, live cd not work way.

recommend backup /home folder/partition including hidden files , folders, clean install of either 10.04 lts or 11.04. personally, use 10.04 version, leave make own mind on that. see think of natty's unity interface, , if see , read it, try it.

when new, clean install, if have not got separate /home partition, recommend make 1 time. see link separate home @ install. details.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
