gooday all. still in process of getting off ground. here in absolute beginner talk feel should have been able sort now. have downloaded latest ubuntu iso,stuck on machine, did updates etc , having fun getting know it.
reported earlier have put onto spare machine working previous hard drive windoze on it. have been able go through full install process updates , proprietary drivers happening through installation. little sign comes , says. installation complete, restart machine now? yes ticked. goes down reboot, ejects disc on way, press enter, machine winds down, goes restart. following output on monitor
:verifying dmi pool data, update success.boot failure, insert system disc , retry:
hd seagate barracuda 7200.7, 80gb.unsure of other details other it's in pretty old viewmaster box. 1 stick of ram, prolly 512.help/comments appreciated

make sure there no other bootable devices such floppy or cd/dvd inserted, or flash drive/external usb hard drive plugged in when try boot.

might want check boot order in bios?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
