Problems with API, JRequest and Helloworld tutorial - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello everybody,
i'm new joomla , studying how develop components.

following tutorial on how make basic component - helloworld - checked jrequest class used in various scripts, had hard time finding documentation of class - access corresponding api, there no reference class.

i had search through google find link sent me same documentation:

but there no way access documentation @ same site!

is problem in browser? use ff, i've tried ie , chrome, without success.

when reading documentation, saw "deprecated" -

and have access documentation, accessing direct link - in navigation tree api, when open class structure in environment, class defined, show classes jbrowser, , juri jresponse.

is so? , helloworld tutorial joomla 2.5 has this, using class abandoned?

please, can pass me links study development of components?

i need develop application associates text photos , expose photos gallery, click on photo gallery, application must present bigger picture corresponding text.

i've spotted few plugins - join text photos (content builder, sobipro , others) have develop front-end display.

if knows of show me, thank you.

i followed above mentioned hello world tutorial trying learn how develop j! component. used j! version 3.0. i've found useful peek @ source code core j! components whenever in tutorial not working (which lot! believe tutorial needs serious updates!)..
