Thread: Booting infinitely

i'm using ubuntu 10.10 dual boot xp. planned increase size of swap partition. delete partition. , resize foloowing partition such swap partition desired size. swap partition increased 2 gb.

shutdown system without editing uuid swap in "/etc/fstab" file.

when start computer said "continue wait; press s skip; press m manual ... something" . not respond thing (for pressing s or m).

using live cd formatted partition linux-swap(using gparted partition editor application). in recovery mode edited fstab file correct uuid swapping.

after reboot system. booting process continued infinite.
how can solve problem?

what in partition following swap shrunk? if system partition may need run live cd/usb , run
code:
sudo e2fsck /dev/sd#x
sd#x partition made smaller. useful see output of
code:
sudo fdisk -l
live system.
