Thread: Installing from Ubuntu 11.04 Live Cd - Unable to stat the mount point

hi all,

i've installed ubuntu 11.04 on desktop , trying install ndiswrapper. don't have wired connection router, have managed use ndiswrapper on other linux live distributions had them installed (eg, linux mint 9).
inserting ubuntu 11.04 live cd , adding cdrom in synaptic's "settings > repositories" menu, can find in list of packages, when try install ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 , ndiswrapper-common few error messages. first, notice pops saying:
"some of packages not retrieved server(s). want continue, ignoring these packages?". guessed due lack of internet connection, selected "yes" , got error box reads:

"e: internal error, no file name ndiswrapper-utils-1.9

w: failed fetch cdrom:[ubuntu 11.04_natty narwhal_-release i386 (20110427.1)]/pool/main/n/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper-utils-1.9_1.56+r2729-1_i386.deb
unable stat mount point /media/ubuntu\04011.04\040i386/ - stat (2: no such file or directory)"

system has 2 hard drives , cdrom drive. i've error checked live cd, , came clean. please, can give me hand getting ubuntu mount cd?

ps: i've downloaded ndiswrapper files sourceforge onto thumbstick (version 1.56). there way can install them stick?

solved - i've managed find workaround solution using terminal. managed install packages ndiswrapper thumb stick , went there

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
