Batch option to automatically place the search index path

my company has 1000s of pdfs deliver customers search capabilities across documents. have created catalog index these documents, , in past, used plugin called options batch set search index path in document properties. lot easier , less time consuming opening every single pdf , manually inputting path. before options, took me more day every document deliver. plugin reduced time less hour. valuabe when in delivery crunch!!!

 

but since upgrading acrobat x pro need our office 2010 upgrade, have been unable use plugin. looking new solution can run process set option across documents. not bunch of people can go write scripts etc off shelf/ready made great.

 

any recommendations?

while not on scale maintain large "elibrary" of pdf document collections.
also provide osm distribution of of collections.

each topic has cataloged index. each sub-topic has cataloged index.
for topic / sub-topic pdf user land on has path pdx.

the pdf opens, pdx mounted, advanced search available respective collection.

the pdx stays 'mounted' until end-user moves on.

also, pdxs can selected search dialog/pane.

the pdx , associated folder of index files not in folder holds pdf(s) periodically updated.

so, update collection, rebuild index.
good go.

 

not quick plug-in less mind-numbing "each pdf manually".
