CS6 - Font Capture: InDesign.exe - Application Error
hello -
i downloaded trial version of indesign windows xp 32 bit machine. however, has failed open every time i've tried on past couple of days. i've spent hours/days researching on web, , have found many references similar problems. none of suggested solutions has worked far. i'm hopeful here can help.
most often, id fails open. splash screen, when gets "starting service registry", shuts down. sometimes, following error message: "font capture: indesign.exe - application error - exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in application @ location 0x0123bffd."
some of solutions i've tried have been: uninstalling , reinstalling, checking corrupt fonts (i have none), changing default printer, switching users, , removing sing.apln file. there no preferences me change - since id has never opened (i brand new id user), application data\adobe\indesign\version 8.0\en-us folder contains folder named compositefont, empty. read somewhere delete sing folder, have no such folder (perhaps applied previous versions?).
my os winxp pro sp3 32 bit. best provide addition information helpful.
i didn't think sing still used in cs6, see sing resources, perhaps legacy files, may or may not try techniques here: sing removal
