Error Log + root "tmp" folder = 90MB - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hey,

never run across before - first site have had gets lot of daily traffic.

my site after 6 months exceeded 300mb allotted in disk space.

since blog - figured bloated images , such.

went ot @ disk space in cpanel , surprised see following:

1 - root tmp folder: 31mb
2 - error log within public_html: 50mb

the root tmp folder contains following folders:
1 - analog
2 - awstats
3 - cpbandwith
4 - logaholic
5 - pear
6 - webalizer
7 - webalizerftp

the error log contains errors jevents.

questions:

1 - can rid of of this?

2 - can delete or empty errorlog file?

3 - root tmp folder need these subfolders?

4 - site secured surcuri.net - of security related?

turn off web stats if enabled , use service google analytics. yes can remove old logs , when server creates new logs generate new file accordingly.

don't delete folders, joomla uses tmp , server uses logs. removing them might cause issues, can clean them or schedule cron run @ end of month , you.

they're useful though i'd review them. there's log size/quota settings on server.

300mb terrible, host? might join unlimited shared plan unless traffic...
